Nikon Film and Photo Contest 2024-2025 General Public Award
Voting Guidelines

The Nikon Film and Photo Contest 2024–2025 General Public Award (hereinafter referred to as the “General Public Award”) is a related program of the Nikon Film and Photo Contest 2024–2025 (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”).
The General Public Award is selected through public voting from among the entries that have advanced to the final round of the judging.
   
1. How to Vote
・Click the “Vote” button on the entry you wish to support.
・You must verify your email address to participate.
・You can vote for multiple entries in both the Photo Competition and Short Film Competition. You may cast up to 5 votes per category, for a total of 10 votes.
Please follow the steps below for detailed instructions.

When Voting for the First-Time
1) Visit the campaign page.
2) Click the thumbnail of the entry you want to vote for.
3) On the entry’s detail page, click the “Vote” button.
4) Click “Participate via email.”
5) Enter your email address and your desired password, then click “Send.”
6) Open the signup email from no-reply@ownly.jp and click the verification link.
7) Your vote has been submitted.

When Voting Again
1) Click the thumbnail of the entry.
2) On the entry’s detail page, click the “Vote” button.
3) Your vote has been submitted.

When Voting Again (after more than 1 week)
If it has been more than a week since your first vote, follow these steps:
1) Visit the campaign page.
2) Click the thumbnail of the entry you would like to vote for.
3) Select “Click here if you are voting again.”
4) Enter the email address and password when registering your first vote, then click “Login.”
5) Your vote has been submitted.

Important Notes
・Please make sure your settings allow you to receive emails from no-reply@ownly.jp.
・If you do not receive the signup email, please check your spam or junk mail folder.
・When voting for the General Public Award, we recommend using the following browsers:

・Voting may not work properly in browsers other than those listed above. 
・Please ensure that JavaScript and cookies are enabled in your browser.

This campaign uses an external voting system to provide a smooth experience. In the event of a system error or failure, your vote may not be counted. Unfortunately, votes cast during such failures cannot be verified by the Organizing Committee and will be considered invalid. Thank you for your understanding.

2. Voting Period
Thursday, August 20th, 2025 (starts at 3:00 a.m. UTC) to Friday, August 29th, 2025 (ends at 3:00 a.m. UTC)

3. Voting Categories
Photo Competition 
・Single Photo 
　Entries consisting of a single photo. 

・Photo Story 
　Entries consisting of a photo story (a series of 2 to 5 photographs).

Short Film Competition
・Super-Short Film
　Entries consisting of a video between 20 and 40 seconds long.

・5-Minute Film
　Entries consisting of a video between 3 to 5 minutes long.

4. Judging Method and Selection Criteria
One winner will be selected from each of the Photo Competition and Short Film Competition categories for the General Public Award. Winners will be chosen from the top-voted entries that best align with the contest theme, based on careful consideration.
* Please note that the selected works and any accompanying comments reflect the views of the creators and do not necessarily represent those of the organizers.
* Votes found to be submitted using multiple accounts or email addresses will be invalidated.

5. Announcement of Results
Winning works will be announced at the award ceremony and on the Nikon Film and Photo Contest website.
The announcement date will be shared via the Contest's social media channels once confirmed.

6. Important Notes for Voting
Please read the Privacy Notice carefully before voting. By participating, you agree to its terms.
Please keep in mind before participating that voting in this campaign is entirely at your own discretion and responsibility.
